This beginner/intermediate clay building workshop allows you to build and paint your own ceramic mug with your choice of shape, size, and surface design. Focus will be on introducing or refining basic clay building techniques and feeling out the early clay relationship. Learn how to navigate and overcome common struggles including structural soundness, weight, and ergonomic shape. Explore surface texture and glaze design. Open to all levels. Clay, glazes, and firings all included. Day 1: Sunday August 9th 1:00-3:30 pm – Hand-building Day 2: Sunday August 16th 1:00-3:30 pm – Glazing Mugs will be available for pick 1 week following August 16.
